Rituals are ceremonies or performances that enact the beliefs or values of the folk group. They are habitual and purposeful, and can bring together many types of folklore. They are often filled with costumes and pageantry.
The wearing and usage of headdresses by the Native Americans could be considered a ritual, as it is a symbolic representation of strength and power.
